Pixel Circus creates Reuters FX animation.

16th November 2007 - 'The world's most-traded and fastest-growing asset class' is the Reuters FX slogan and Pixel Circus was asked to create an animation based around their "FX" product. This is to be shown on trading screens across the city as well as on the Reuters 40ft Jumbotron outside of their Canary Wharf head office.

Pixel Circus were called in by the creative design agency Pink.Green to create this bespoke animation for the campaign which shows a constant stream of data, flowing powerfully inside a traders monitor. The data passes though a sequence of screens representing the many features of FX on Reuters.

The data stream was constructed in three dimensional space, allowing both the data and camera to move freely, providing the required motion to fit the demanding storyboards. The majority of the scene elements were added in post, with the exception of the FX community, a 3D city consisting of approximately 800 buildings.

The client demanded that all information and content was completely accurate from the actual data stream through to locations and prices. In addition the animation needed to be portable from standard trading screens through to a 40ft Jumbrotron.
